Building Maritime Culture, WIMA INA Holds Social Service in Sunda Kelapa Fisherman’s Village
WIMA INA activities in the month of Ramadhan 1444 H at the Sunda Kelapa Fisherman’s Village, Jakarta, Saturday (15/4/23).
Jakarta (Maritimnews) – Women in Maritime Indonesia (WIMA INA) continues to be committed to supporting the role of women in the maritime sector to rebuild and improve maritime culture in Indonesia.
One of the activities in the month of Ramadhan, WIMA INA held the “Tali Love Together with the Sunda Kelapa Fishing Village” event, in Jakarta, Saturday (15/4/23). In this event, 100 basic food packages were also distributed to residents of the Sunda Kelapa Fisherman’s Village.
In this event, WIMA INA wants to share love with 100 residents of the Sunda Kelapa Fisherman’s Village.
“Hopefully this basic food package will be useful for the residents of this village,” said WIMA INA General Chair Chandra Motik in a written statement to Maritimnews.
Present at the event, KSOP Sunda Kelapa was represented by the Head of the Marine Traffic Section, Muhammad Hujer along with his staff, GM Pelindo Sunda Kelapa Branch, Agus Edi and his staff. Sunda Kelapa Police Chief, Chairman of DPC INSA, DPC APBMI and DPC PELRA.
Furthermore, Chandra Motik, who is also an expert on maritime and maritime law, called on the government and society to encourage the Indonesian people to return to the sea and build a maritime culture in order to realize Indonesia as a maritime country.
“To make Indonesia a maritime country, let’s return to the sea and revive its maritime culture,” he concluded.
On this occasion, WIMA INA administrators were present including Secretary General of WIMA INA Tresna Pardosi, Treasurer of WIMA INA Meggy.T, Head of Division Yanti.A and Liana Tresnawati, and Sri Lestari as members. (*)
