Bali (Maritimnews) – Member of Commission VI DPR RI Gde Sumarjaya Linggih supports the efforts of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) to carry out the process of developing the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH) project as a PSN which is expected to be able to integrate all sectors. Gde Sumarjaya emphasized during a Working Visit for the IV Session Period of the 2023–2024 Session Year in order to carry out the DPR’s supervisory function for the Evaluation of BMTH Development and Energy Security on Tuesday, April 23 2024 at The Meru Sanur Bali, that it is important to increase both the capacity and quality of ecosystem supporting facilities good international tourism in Bali.
The Working Visit activity resulted in one of the recommendations from Gde Sumarjaya Linggih, member of Commission VI DPR-RI from the Golkar Party, namely to immediately relocate non-tuna boats to Benoa Harbor.
Gde Sumarjaya reminded the importance of increasing both the capacity and quality of facilities to support a good international tourism ecosystem in Bali. In this regard, Gde asked Pelindo, the Ministry of BUMN together with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries to immediately recollate non-tuna vessels that are moored/berthed at Benoa Harbor, especially fish and squid vessels that are no longer operating in order to support the BMTH development design and upgrades. security and safety for tourists.
