Operations at Common Gate NPCT 1 Return to Normal

Jakarta (Maritimnews) – After a container fire at the New Priok Container Terminal One (NPCT 1) yard in the Kali Baru area, North Jakarta, early Tuesday morning (14/05) which had an impact on the NPCT -1 Common Gate operational services, is now starting to gradually return to normal. Gradually truck and container services by PT Multi Terminal Indonesia can be implemented again this afternoon.

PT MTI Operations Director Yandri Trisaputra said the Common Gate NPCT-1 service system was operational again. To continue to serve customers when disruption occurs, the company takes technical and operational steps and coordinates with relevant stakeholders guided by corporate governance.

“We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the problems that have occurred since the early hours of Tuesday, May 14 2024. We have carried out an investigation and immediately made the necessary improvements,” said Yandri in a press statement received by Maritimnews, Tuesday (14/05).

Furthermore, PT MTI will also take steps deemed necessary to avoid problems recurring in the future. The company will improve services by prioritizing HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) or K3 aspects in all services and prioritizing mitigation for each activity.

“We would also like to thank all stakeholders and customers for their support and understanding of the situation that occurred, as well as their full trust in us so that operational activities can continue to run well,” he concluded.
